From KD: I am interested in expanded consciousness, presence, and attunement within ourselves and in groups, “integrity” and how these aspects of human-ness can facilitate growth and integrate into daily life. I am interested in the capacity of discernment and its relationship to learning in expanded consciousness. My work has explored the interface of Western scientific and allopathic medicine traditions with integrative and spiritual traditions of the East and West and is informed by somatic disciplines. My interest in expanded consciousness and psychedelics arose out of years of exploring world spiritual traditions—including Sufism, “Hindu” and syncretic traditions in India, and indigenous, church-based, and syncretic traditions in South America—and an unexpected and powerful (energetic awakening) that led to the emerging of archetypal and non-dual awareness in my own life. I have received initiation in a number of spiritual traditions. I have led groups and been in the position of a mentor for many years in academic, clinical, and personal growth settings.
Specialties: Rehabilitation medicine; pain management; holistic approach/constitutional diagnosis and treatment plans; Yoga; meditation; bodywork; group process; relationship of music to expanded consciousness; relationship of discernment, archetypes, and myths to expanded consciousness.
